The maintenance cycle of vacuum centrifugal concentrator mainly includes the following aspects:
Replacement of heating medium: It is recommended to replace the water in the water bath once a week, and the longest time should not exceed one month. Use distilled water and deionized water to prevent scale from forming on the wall of the water bath. Avoid using organic solvents as heating medium.
Rotor cleaning and maintenance: The rotor should be cleaned and inspected before and after use. After use, it should be soaked and cleaned with warm water (50℃-60℃) and neutral detergent, then rinsed with distilled water or deionized water, and dried and stored. If the rotor is contaminated or damaged, it should be cleaned and replaced in time.
Needle cleaning: The needle should be cleaned after each use to reduce contamination. It can be cleaned by organic solvent washing, high pressure disinfection and Soxhlet extraction.
Water bath cleaning: When in contact with or exposed to acidic materials, steam or samples, it should be cleaned immediately, neutralized with appropriate sodium bicarbonate solution or other similar solutions, and then rinsed with clean water. Prolonged contact with acidic substances will damage the instrument. Take protective measures if necessary.
Overall cleaning: Use soft cloth or thin paper to clean the centrifuge chamber, keep it dry and clean. The surface of the centrifuge can be disinfected with 70% alcohol. The sealing ring on the centrifuge chamber door should be cleaned every 3 months. If there is wear or scratches, it should be replaced immediately.
