Ice Maker Cleaning Process

‌The ice maker cleaning process can be divided into general manual cleaning steps and automatic cleaning function use to remove scale and bacterial residues to ensure the hygiene of ice cubes. ‌The specific process is as follows:

General cleaning steps (applicable to ice makers without automatic cleaning function)
‌Power off and emptying: Unplug the power supply, pour out the remaining ice cubes and empty the water tank to ensure safe operation.
‌Cleaning removable parts: Clean the removable parts such as ice bucket and ice shovel with detergent or vinegar water solution and dry them.
‌Internal cleaning: ‌ ‌Use vinegar water solution (1:1 or 1:10 ratio): ‌ Wipe the inner and outer surfaces of the ice maker, focusing on the scale accumulation area. Undiluted vinegar can handle stubborn stains.
‌Special detergent: ‌ Dilute according to the instructions and pour into the ice maker, run for 10-20 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.
‌Rinse and disinfection: ‌ Rinse the inside of the machine with clean water 2-3 times to ensure that there is no detergent residue. If necessary, spray the inner wall with disinfectant.
‌Test run:‌ After replugging, make 1-2 batches of ice and discard them to confirm there is no unusual smell or residue.
